Course Description
The On-site courses teach adults how to assist adolescents who are developing a mental health problem or are in a mental health crisis.

Course participants learn about adolescent development, the signs and symptoms of the common and disabling mental health problems in young people, where and how to get help when a young person is developing a mental illness, what sort of help has been shown by research to be effective, and how to provide first aid in a crisis situation.

Schools can choose from 2 days face to face or hybrid (1 day online and 1 day face to face).
Staff who already have accreditation with Mental Health First Aid (Australia) can also renew their accreditation with a four hour refresher course, also available for onsite bookings.

Minimum enrolment numbers: 6

4.4.2 Ensure students’ wellbeing and safety within school by implementing school and/ or system, curriculum and legislative requirements.
