Course Description
With a focus on communicative and intercultural learning, this course enables participants to create rich, engaging and syllabus-aligned tasks for the effective assessment of student achievement in Languages.
Participants will explore task-supported curriculum design and its seamless integration with the syllabus, focusing on creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences.
Through practical guidance, attendees will learn how to target specific syllabus content and skills with purposeful task design, ensuring clear learning outcomes. The course also deepens understanding of assessment processes, including the development of effective rubrics for measuring student progress.
By the end of the course, participants will be empowered to design their own language curriculum, reducing reliance on textbooks and tailoring learning to their students’ needs.
This professional learning has a duration of 4 hours and falls under the Priority Area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum.
